Update!

Well, an update has been requested by the blogstalker! I haven't posted because there isn't much to post about! Don't get to thinkin we haven't been busy, I just figure you don't want to here about soccer scores, team dinners, grad classes along with remodeling talk....but if you insist ~ here goes!!!

The lady eagles are 10 and 1! I am so proud of them and the coach!!! They are doing awesome! They went to a tourny in Stepenville (with the aliens) and took first place! We ended up losing one of our starters to a blown out knee, but other than that the weekend was great! I got to hang out with my cousin who goes to Tarleton and baby shop (at the few stores that are there) in between games! We never play anywhere that you can get right up next to the field, but that weekend you could....and I was so mad I didn't take my good camera that zooms far away, cause I could've gotten some really great pics!!! I guess I'll know next year!
The house is coming along....we hope to be done by the end of March so we can have a couple of weeks to relax before our little man gets here! When we aren't at a team dinner or soccer game we are at home slaving away....ok Brent is slaving away, and I am just helping here and there! I really can't take credit for all the work! He has been awesome! I will post before and after pics soon! We are going to paint the nursery this weekend...the furniture and fabric have been ordered! The plus is all the boxes are out of his room, so we can actually do something to it!!!
So I know it wasn't exciting & there wasn't many pics, but there is an update to satisfy~ for now!

We had a wonderful Christmas break! There wasn't much relaxing, but it was nice to be able to get more boxes unpacked and things put into place! We loved spending time with family and friends! We started out with a trip to Ft. Worth to spend Christmas with my grandparents, cousins, aunt and uncle. We always have so much fun with this group....my face hurt from laughing and smiling when we left. Those of you that know my Mamie know that she keeps everyone on there toes! They had a new puppy this year, so Cocoa had to be in the family picture!
Next was Christmas with our families. Since both of us are from A-town Christmas day can be pretty crazy. It all starts on Christmas Eve with FBC service with B's family. We then went home and had our Christmas together after midnight service. The girls loved their gifts!

It was so nice being able to have Christmas in our own house this year....not that the lakehouse wasn't a home away from home....it was just nice getting to be "home."
Then Christmas day was a whirlwind rush of going from house to house eating and opening gifts.....then eating more and opening gifts!!!! We started off first thing at my parent's house with gifts and Christmas breakfast!!!! It was fun to add another girl to the fam this year!
Yes, as you can tell T.J can't be normal in a picture!!! Believe it or not this was the best one.... somehow he is doing something is all of them!!! In one he is holding up a rake that my dad got for Christmas!!!
Then off to B's parents for gifts. The best part is watching the kiddos! I love the pure excitement!

Then off to my grandparents for more!!! Somehow this was the only shot I got over there! My uncle takes great pics, so I just left the picture taking up to him.Christmas night B and I dropped dead in our beds! It was fun, but always tiring!!!! Our favorite Christmas gift this year is Mr. Caden Thomas! (Even though most of you know the name I don't think I have officially posted the name so.. there ya go!) We are so thankful for him and he isn't even here yet!

My favorite ornament this year! We have a little tradition of getting each other an ornament every year. Here is Caden's first!
We enjoyed the rest of our break. It was mainly filled with house stuff! We are getting slowly settled in. I don't have many boxes left and the kitchen is finally useable! We got lots of stuff marked off the getting ready for baby list! We made two different trips to Ft. Worth to do some touch ups on our house there, and managed to shop for baby stuff and see some friends!
(Let me clarify!!!! Ally is NOT pregnant....we took a pic like this when she was prego so we wanted to duplicate while I was prego!)
Hope everyone enjoyed your holiday! For us, it is on to soccer!!!!

She's All Done

This past weekend we went down for Chandra's graduation from Tarleton. I know she is so glad to be finished with school and is looking forward to finding a teaching/coaching job next year! I remember that feeling when you are finally done with school....it is such a weird feeling! Entering the real world where you can't choose what time the day starts or getting Tues/Thurs or M/W/F off! Anyways ~ enough reminiscing! We are so proud of her! Here are some pics!
The newlyweds being goofy!
We always tease T because when there is a camera he ALWAYS pulls a Chandler!!!!!

We took a family pic, but I can't find it on my camera or computer! Which makes me very sad!!

Not that you can miss the belly in the previous pic, here is an official belly picture for all of you belly watchers out there!!! It took a while but when I finally got one, it came in full force!!!

Are ya happy now????

I Don't Wanna Grow Up!!!

We had a great time this past weekend at G's 5th b-day party! It was at a place where they had huge bounce houses! There were these giant pits that had the balls that you play around in....except these balls were the size of basketballs! The guys had a great time playing dodge ball and seeing who could do a flip off the highest house! The little ones had a ball too! I am not sure who had more fun......the little boys or the big boys!!!! I guess you never really HAVE to grow up!!!

The birthday boy!!!!! I can't believe he is 5!!!!

Is it a

BOY or GIRL?????
We hope to find out Thursday!!!!
It is so interesting all the guesses you get and the reasons why! I have heard so many ol' wives tales....and who knows if any of them are correct??? I have some that I may believe in after we find out, and I am sure many of you believe in them because they were accurate for you! I have yet to become a believer of any of them, but I love hearing them and guessing!!! Here are some I have heard!
If you have to shave more often than not, it is a boy! (Meaning if you have more hair growth!) At first I felt like I did have an increase in hair growth, but now I don't feel like I have to shave as often. I don't know that I believe this one, because all of this hair growth, or lack thereof, could be based on prenatal vitamins!
If the heart rate is high it is a girl, low is a boy. Well, our nurse told us they like the heartbeat to be under 160. Ours was 158. If this one is true, 158 would be considered high in my book ~ girl.... but, I don't think I believe in this one either, even though my mother-in-law would swear by it!
Sweets ~ girl ; Salty ~ boy ; If this one is true it is a boy, because I have been a salty eater! I'll will take sweets, but not really my first choice.
If you gain weight all over ~ boy; if it is just in the belly ~ girl. This one holds true for the 6 people that have been pregnant at my school this year. I seem to think I have gained all over, however others tell me I am all belly.... (they may just be trying to be nice!)
And the chinese calendar may be the only one I believe. It says boy!
Anyone know any other ol' wives tales?
Take a guess...
Boy or Girl????

Thanksgiving Snow!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with lots of family and SNOW!!! It was a nice surprise! We bundled up and went and took pics in the snow! The boys did manage to get a snowball fight in, but I wanted no part! Luckily, no one ended up in the pool! I didn't take many pics cause we were so busy unpacking!!! You'd think after five days off I would have the house totally unpacked....but with two days gone for family and food and reminiscing over some of the stuff we haven't seen in two years.....there are still boxes everywhere!!!! You wanted pics so here are some pics! You can't see a bloomin thing because of all the boxes, but maybe this will satisfy you until they are unloaded!!! And for belly pics....well that is hard to do when you don't have a belly.....I am starting to get a little poochy, but still no belly....which is really weird cause I can feel our little soccer player ALL the time!!!
The kitchen in the tear up stage!!! We are still working on this part! I will have to post before and after shots later of the whole house!
The dining room!

A Little Bit of Randomness!!!

This school year has flown past! I have a wonderful class, and I enjoy them so much! Even though I love my job and kids, I am ready for a couple of days off! No rest for the weary though!!! We will be moving in to part of our house tomorrow! I can't believe it! I think we are officially crazy....the kitchen and bathrooms are still being renovated....but we are going to move in anyway! I am sooooo ready to have our stuff out of storage!!! We have a huge drop cloth sheet thing hanging in between the door of the kitchen and dining so the dust and fumes won't enter the rest of the house! With HSU going into post season play we got behind scheduling a little bit! We figured we better move this weekend since every other weekend is booked until Christmas with parties, graduations, and scouting trips! And AHS Soccer starts Monday!!!
If you know of anyone needing a home in the Keller area....we have one! The contract is up on our house for the family that has leased it for the past two years and they are moving out of state. We are willing to sale or lease! I am biased, I am sure, but it is a great home and great neighborhood.
And for baby news.....I have been feeling our little angel move lately! I love it! It is a wonderful feeling, and a constant reminder of the miracle going on inside of me! I have been feeling great and can't wait to find out if we will have a son or daughter! December 6 is the big day!!!!
Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!

"A Daddy is a Daughter's First Love and a Son's First Hero"

The post you have all been waiting on......
We are going to be parents!
About two months ago I surprised Brent with a decorative plaque that had this saying on it. He was speechless and shocked. It didn't come as a surprise to us, because we were trying, but it was definitly a shocker when it actually happened!
I took the test back before school started and we kept it a secret (except for family, and Ally) for quite a while. Both of our parents were so excited! This will be my parent's first grandchild, and they are on Cloud 9! We finally went to the dr yesterday and got to see our precious little one! I have tons of pics, but I don't have a scanner at school, so I might get around to scanning some pics in later on tonight! I am eleven weeks along and for the most part have been feeling pretty good! We already feel so blessed and can't wait for April 26th!
It has been so fun telling everyone and getting to see everyone's reaction. We have heard the comment "Well, it's about time!" from alot of people! Since we have been married five years, I am sure some people thought it was never going to happen, but we really enjoyed our time together and I know we will always cherish those five years of just "us" time! Now on to the next, new, adventurous chapter in our lives!

More Thrills Than an Eight Second Ride

That is the theme this year for the West Texas Fair and Rodeo.....I am very sick of hearing commercials...but I love the fair!!!! I have early memories from the fair when I was little. My whole fam went every year. As I got older it was fun to go with friends! Football games were always more exciting when you could see all the lights from the stands. I have always loved the rides and the food. Now that I am older I love looking at all the booths. My mom and I were talking last night as we left the fair, that it used to seem so big as a child. It seemed like the rides were countless and the midway was endless. One of my many memories of the fair wasn't even a time when I went to ride the rides or eat the food. It happened my senior year after a football game. Sarah and I had riden (is that a word) with Scott to the game. When we went out to his car after the game his car wouldn't start, or he locked his keys in(I can't remember), but for one reason or another we couldn't get home. We had to walk over to the fair and call his parents! Every year when I return to the fair I think of this night! I have no idea why...but it is etched in my memory! Last night was a great night for the fair....it wasn't too hot or too crowded and the food was great! So enough memories.....on with the pics!

Grayson wasn't too sure about the rides at first, but once they started he loved them! Brent rode the train with him! It was pretty comical seeing his long legs all smushed up against his chest!

Everyone was pooped by the end of the night!

Flooding, Fishing, Fevers, and Fifth Grade

That is about all we have been up to! I am sure you all heard about the huge flood in A-town! Well, we had to sandbag the cabin and put our furniture up on cynder blocks...let me tell you this is an experience that I have never had before....and hope I don't have to have it again! I told Brent this was an awful lot of work if it didn't flood, and his reply was that it was alot easier than the cleanup would be if it did! I guess he was right....even though we didn't flood! Here are some pics for your entertainment!

As most of you know, Phantom has never been a pretty lake! or a full one....until this summer!

Here are the pics of before the rains!

And here is after

If you look close, there was a boat dock....and now there's not!

Brent has been trying to get as much fishing in as possible before school starts! The girls love to hang out with him while he fishes! This is before the flooding.....we still don't have a dock! And the Fevers........both of my babies are sick (as in babies, most of you know I mean dogs) I was embarrassed to even call the vet when the second one got sick! Their illnesses aren't related! Seriously....how could they have timed it better?

And here are pics of my classroom! Brent was so wonderful and helped me a ton! He tends not to have anything to do on teacher workdays. My principal accidently added him to our schoolwide email list....he forwarded me her email and said "this is when you know you spend way too much time at your wife's school!" I am so thankful for a helpful husband! This was my first year not to change rooms! It was very nice not working myself to death!

Hope all you fellow teachers have a great first day back!!!!!
