We are loving trying new foods that don't have to be fed to us in a spoon!

Par-tay Weekend!
December is such a busy time of year...I really want to make sure that even with all the hustle and bustle I slow down and enjoy this time since it is Caden's only first Christmas. We had a very fun, busy weekend. It started Friday night with my school Christmas party. C stayed with my parents for the evening. It was the longest he had ever been away from us (other than daycare.) It was a nice date evening for us! Then Sat. we made a daytrip to Ft. Worth for G's sixth b-day! I can't believe he is 6!!!! and in kindergarden!!!
The party was at the same jumphouse it was at last year...The big boys enjoy it as much as the little boys!!!

My Gangsta Child !
C has had a double ear infection for the past three weeks. We are on our second antibiotic! Poor thing, he gets pretty fussy really easily just because he is in pain....so after being cooped up in the house...Daddy decided we needed a break....so they went out to the front porch and played for while....I was shocked that the fussin stopped and he was actually content!
Brent calls this his "gangsta outfit"!

We love you, Jumperoo!
Caden has found a new love! He has a jumperoo at daycare and B and I were unaware of how much he loved it! He would come home and bounce in our arms until our arms wanted to fall off.....so after talking to his sweet girls that keep him, we discovered he loves the jumperoo! So we caved and bought him one! It makes getting things around the house done a little easier!

Daddy's Hat
There is just something about hats!!! Caden already loves them....just not on his head! He loves to play with B's hat...and his favorite thing about Grandpa is his Clack Cardinals hat. He recently got really excited when looking at a picture of Grandpa with his hat on.....Grandpa likes to believe that he was excited at the sight of seeing him....but we all know it was that red and white hat!!!

Thankful Hearts
Every year we are so thankful that our families live in the same town. It can get kinda crazy, but it truly is a blessing that we are able to share Thanksgiving day with both of our families. Of course this year, we have one precious blessing that we are so thankful for! He has changed our lives, and we can't imagine each day without him!
We started at my parents for lunch....

Sweet Bee
Ourlittle man was a bee this year. We enjoyed taking him around trick or treatin at his grandparents, and great grandparents! He also got to show off his costume at trunk or treat at church!

By the time Grayson the snake came by to trick or treat we were already in our halloween pj's ready for bed! Caden wasn't real sure what to think about G.

The TADPOLES!!
We had been unable to make it out for Grayson's previous games and last week when we saw him I asked him if he had fun at his soccer game. He cut his eyes over at me and said "You weren't there!!" It was hysterical, and very convicting....so we decided we better make the next one. We spent Saturday morning outside in the beautiful fall weather. This is Grayson's first year to play and it was just as entertaining as we expected it to be! They are so much fun to watch at that age, dancin around, digging in the dirt, chasing players and the ball, not knowing which way to kick the ball, just out there for the shear FUN of it!!! I love it!

Who said you can't have roots and wings?
We started the weekend off early on Thursday night with the AHS homecoming parade. C wasn't too sure what to think about the drumline!
Then Fri. night we headed out to the tailgate party for the class of 98. Britt had a great idea of getting our boys cute little cooper shirts! I was able to talk Brent into letting him wear it... After twisting his arm, he was ok with it as long as it was only one time! Caden was a little worried at first....
But I filled him in on the fact that it is ok to have roots! This is what Britt told Brent when she found out he was giving me a hard time about C wearing a Cooper shirt!
This was the best attempt at a pic with us and our two little men! Britt got some good ones of just the boys in their shirts!!!
This next one is a favorite! Caden is in the stage where he loves hats!!!!
Then Friday night the gang headed over to our house. It was so much fun hanging out like old times! There have been about 10 - 15 of us guys and girls that have been friends since middle school...some since elementary! We were told by so many people that we would drift apart! And some did...but for the most part we have all stayed in touch and are still very close! Our spouses have entered the group and have been so wonderful to allow us all to keep our friendships. They have listened to the same stories OVER and OVER, bless their hearts! I have always felt so blessed to have such an amazing group of friends. The fact that we can pick right up where we left off last is very rare! There are never any uncomfortable moments...unless someone crosses the line....no names though! If you think about it most of us have been friends for over half our lifetime! I am so thankful that even though it has been 10 years and we have all moved on with our own lives, friends, and families we are still so close!!!! And Friday night reminded me of that! My face hurt when the night was over from laughing so hard!

Caden was a trooper! He hung in there until 11:30! Poor thing couldn't even keep his eyes open!
We enjoyed looking at old scrapbooks! The boys, however, loved retelling old stories....that no matter how many times they retell them...we are still laugh!
