Wedding Weekend!

We are exhausted! But we had an exciting and fun wedding weekend....but we are very glad it's over! We started off the weekend with rehearsal dinner Friday night! Since B was coaching in Ft. Worth (against the first place team) Caden was my date!
We pretty much came straight from the dr where he had a shot and had started another round of antibiotics. Needless to say, he wasn't feeling the greatest, but he enjoyed crawling around on the stairs!
What a cute fam!

The soon to be newlyweds~ Lots of wedding pictures to follow!

Music Lover

We rarely leave Caden....and when we do it's with his grandparents, but two weekends ago my sister-in-law and her future hubby had their bachelor and bachelorette parties, so B and I were both busy. Caden got to spend the evening with my parents and had a ball! He has a new love for the piano....however the guitar he isn't so sure about!

My Favorite Valentine

Words can't express the love!!!
Everyone tells you how much you will love your child...
but until you experience it...you just don't get it!
We spent our day off in our pj's....or lack of...playing and having fun!

Not much is going on at our house. We can't seem to get rid of the sick bug!!! Soccer is keeping us pretty busy! Caden is pulling up on everything and will take a few steps if he isn't thinking about it! Here are some pics to tide you over until I have something more interesting to post!
Brent was so ready for him to be mobile,
I think he is rethinking that wish! He is into everything!

Tagged

So are you tired of looking at those Christmas pics???? I am!!!! So I was tagged by one of my lifelong friends, Sarah. So Here goes!

The rules are as follows...
1) Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design.
2) Show the 7 winners names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they were tagged.3) List at least 10 honest things about yourself.

I like to watch/listen to muted television. Basically if the t.v. is on, I am totally ok with muting it and leaving it like that. This drives Brent crazy! I can really sit and watch the t.v. and still let my mind think about what I want while watching the t.v.

I have to have clean feet before I go to bed…if I don’t take a shower or bath before bed (which is rare) I have to wash my feet!

I only have three remaining classes until I graduate from ACU with my master’s degree in Administration. However, I don’t plan on using this degree until my children are in middle school.

I did not throw up once when I was pregnant. I was very rarely even nauseous. I had a wonderful pregnancy but paid for it during delivery. I was in hard labor for 18 hours and pushed for over four hours, and then made two trips to labor and delivery after coming home from the hospital. My dr. was wonderful and met me up there at random times when he wasn’t working!

I broke my collarbone playing ring around the roses with my mother when I was 18months old.

I take my lunch to school everyday. Brent makes my sandwich for me….I know…I am spoiled. He started making it for me last year when I was pregnant cause I couldn’t handle the smell of the meat…and still makes it for me!

I eat cookies and drink a glass of milk every night before bed. The cookies have to be fresh. So this means I cook usually 3 – 5 cookies every night. This also started when I was pregnant and I haven’t been able to stop!!!!

I have never stayed by myself overnight until last fall. Brent was out of town recruiting or on a soccer trip (I can’t remember) and I was going to go to my mom’s like I always do….but then she came down with the stomach flu and as much as I didn’t want to stay by myself, I didn’t want the stomach flu worse!!! I made it, but it wasn’t fun! I really thought that getting up to feed him in the night I would hear something and wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep, but I think I was so sleep deprived I didn’t have a problem falling back to sleep.

My son slept in our room until Christmas. Yes, he was eight months old…but I just couldn’t make the transition. He slept in a pack n play at the foot of our bed, and I just couldn’t make sense of walking into the other room to get him when he would wake up to nurse.

I love warm cars….or hot cars for that matter. Ya know in the summer when the car is so hot….I LOVE getting in them when they are like that…even if it is 100+ degrees outside!

So there are my 10 things….and I tag

Shannon ~ cause you are bound to make me laugh
Annalee ~ because you are so creative I am sure you can come up with 10 that most people don’t know
Ally ~ because I don’t think you can come up with 10 things I don’t know
Sarah Durham ~ because I love reading your blog and keeping up with Ele
Carolyn ~ because your little man is too cute!
Flea ~ cause I want an update!
Leigh Ann ~ cause I want an update and I am sure you can’t think of something I don’t know about you!

Better Late than Never! ~ Christmas part 1

So here is Mr. Caden last year..........and here is our sweet boy this year! What a difference a year makes.

We started off Christmas day at our house opening stockings and Santa gifts.

His zebra from Santa was a hit!
Then we headed over to my parents house for a yummy breakfast and lots of fun gifts!

As many wonderful gifts as C got...this box was by far the favorite.

and all the ribbons and bows, of coarse!
Taking a family picture with my fam...is a chore.....T wants to mess it up somehow everytime....Luckily this one turned out all right
After spending the morning at my parents, we headed to the Camps for lunch. There wasn't enough time for gifts so we just did lunch...then headed back to our house for more gifts for C to open!
Sadly of all the attempts of us three in front of the tree this is the best one we got.
Then that evening we headed back to the Camps for gifts.

The Camp Clan
We had a wonderful time with family. Christmas is such a great reminder of how blessed we are with such loving families in the same town.

Mmmm, Mmmm, Good!

We are loving trying new foods that don't have to be fed to us in a spoon!

Yes, that is Ele's nose.... She is learning quick that she likes this new stage of C feeding himself! It is nice for me, not to have to sweep it all up!

Par-tay Weekend!

December is such a busy time of year...I really want to make sure that even with all the hustle and bustle I slow down and enjoy this time since it is Caden's only first Christmas. We had a very fun, busy weekend. It started Friday night with my school Christmas party. C stayed with my parents for the evening. It was the longest he had ever been away from us (other than daycare.) It was a nice date evening for us! Then Sat. we made a daytrip to Ft. Worth for G's sixth b-day! I can't believe he is 6!!!! and in kindergarden!!!
The party was at the same jumphouse it was at last year...The big boys enjoy it as much as the little boys!!!
Caden thought he was in heaven because he could bounce on every surface....
He wasn't too sure about going down the slides...he would much rather jump.
We ended the weekend with a Christmas party and
book exchance with our Shepherding Group at church!
But no pics from that!!!

My Gangsta Child !

C has had a double ear infection for the past three weeks. We are on our second antibiotic! Poor thing, he gets pretty fussy really easily just because he is in pain....so after being cooped up in the house...Daddy decided we needed a break....so they went out to the front porch and played for while....I was shocked that the fussin stopped and he was actually content! Brent calls this his "gangsta outfit"!
Ignore the dead plants!

We love you, Jumperoo!

Caden has found a new love! He has a jumperoo at daycare and B and I were unaware of how much he loved it! He would come home and bounce in our arms until our arms wanted to fall off.....so after talking to his sweet girls that keep him, we discovered he loves the jumperoo! So we caved and bought him one! It makes getting things around the house done a little easier! Lots of Jumping =

Daddy's Hat

There is just something about hats!!! Caden already loves them....just not on his head! He loves to play with B's hat...and his favorite thing about Grandpa is his Clack Cardinals hat. He recently got really excited when looking at a picture of Grandpa with his hat on.....Grandpa likes to believe that he was excited at the sight of seeing him....but we all know it was that red and white hat!!!

Thankful Hearts

Every year we are so thankful that our families live in the same town. It can get kinda crazy, but it truly is a blessing that we are able to share Thanksgiving day with both of our families. Of course this year, we have one precious blessing that we are so thankful for! He has changed our lives, and we can't imagine each day without him!

We started at my parents for lunch....
Caden's Thanksgiving dinner!
Grandma decided to feed him the real stuff.....he wasn't real sure what to think!
Spending sweet time with Maime!

The Thompson Kids!

Uncle T and Aunt Chandra

Then headed to the Camp's for dinner....
Sweet kisses from Sydney
So this is our attempt at getting a pic of the Camp grandkids....
it is a pretty good explanation of how the evening went....

and this is the best one.....
Hope you and yours had a Happy Thanksgiving!
