Weekend fun!

We started our weekend off with the Abilene Hot Air Balloon Festival. Caden wasn't too sure about the loud puffing noise...but he loved the "glow."
Then on Saturday we headed to Ft. Worth for a special little girl's birthday party!! Before the party we made a pit stop at Mamie and G-dad's house! They always love some time with their only great-grandchild!
Then we headed over to Camden's birthday party! Ally had planned everything perfectly and the ladybug party was just as cute as the birthday girl!!
Is she not the cutest thing ever?

Camden is so cute around Caden. Everytime she sees him she wants to "hold her." I know she is going to be a great big sister one day!

Our New Kicks!

We love our new kicks! One of Brent's girls found these shoes at a soccer store in the metroplex and bought them for C! I think Brent likes them as much as Caden (which is surprising, since they aren't AHS colors) They are adorable, and he loves them cause they are red and shiny!!

No Post = Long Post

In case you are wondering I did not fall off the earth!!! The past two months have been spent enjoying my last little bit of summer and getting another new school year started! Since all you really care about is pics of the little man....here ya go!
Big News! We have our first tooth!
We started cereal and baby food! We haven't found anything this boy won't eat!

Including his toes! I turned my back for a split second and he had bent over to try to get his toes in his mouth! Luckily, he didn't fall out!

B and I celebrated our sixth anniversary with our little man with a trip to the hill country! We went to all the little towns and shopped in their downtowns and ate at the cute little cafes.

Before school started, my mom Caden and I made a trip to Lubbock and Plainview to see Uncle Drew and his new house. He got a teaching job in Plainview teaching 8th grade English and coaching basketball and baseball. (ironic, since that is where B and I started our teaching careers)
As many of you know the first week of school was not a good one for me! On Tuesday of that week, we lost our princess. It was an awful experience I NEVER want to go through again! Basically, there was no sleep, lots of crying and severe depression! On Friday night we got a call from a man that had found her out on the highway...she had been hit but was alive! I ended up meeting the animal control and Adi at the emergency vet (B was out of town...go figure!) and when I got there she was barely alive! The emergency vet told us her leg was shattered and put her in a cast until we could see our vet.
After a week of this cast we finally had a surgery specialist from Dallas come in and put her leg back together! If there was any desire in my mind about wanting another child...it has vanished because the past two weeks have been very difficult caring for two babies! After surgery the cast was removed and she received a cone so she wouldn't bother her 47 staples! This girl has 1 plate, 12 screws, 2 pins, wire, and synthetic bone fiber holding that leg together! After two weeks the cast and cone are finally gone! And you would never know this dog has a broken leg! She goes and blows like nothing ever happened! We have to keep her leashed and separated from Ele for 10 weeks! I don't think December will come fast enough!

What is fall time without football games and the West Texas Fair???

We have only made it to one football game so far! We couldn't miss the AHS/CHS game! Brent and I enjoyed the game, and Caden was more interested in the blow up football than the game!
And even though the game was a close one....he was content sleeping the night away!

This past weekend we celebrated my birthday with the whole fam! I share a b-day with my cousin and grandfather. We had our b-day dinner over at my grandparents and had tons of fun.
And then enjoyed breakfast with the Camp Clan at Cracker Barrell!
And our sweet Cam came to visit!
And here are some random pics of my favorite baby boy!!!

Hopefully it won't be another three months for an update on this cute face!

July in Pictures!

We started July off by celebrating the 4th out at the lake for the whole weekend. This has become a family tradition with B and my family! It is so fun combining our families for the weekend! We always go into town to watch the Abilene fireworks and then set off our own the next night! We made it through another year of no one getting hurt while setting them off! (that is always my biggest fear) This year Caden slept right through both shows, however, I am afraid next year that won't be the case!

Our sweet little firecracker!

We had great seats this year, even though we had to sit in traffic for almost an hour afterward!

Hangin out with dad after a hard day ot the lake!Dad cooked a brisket this year! Delicious!

After we ran out of the big fireworks, the boys loved throwing the black cats into the lake and watching them explode under water! We also celebrated Caden's baby dedication at church!

This was his take home outfit that didn't fit at all two months ago! It looked like a dress!

The rest of our days are spent at my parent's, hanging out by the pool! C was fine hanging out in his suit in the house.......

But as soon as we got in the water....he knew it wasn't for him!

So I thought that he might be more interested in hanging out next to the pool....
But he wasn't a fan of that either!

We also made a trip to Ft. Worth for the day to visit my grandfather....he isn't doing to well, and we knew seeing his only great-grandson would cheer him up!

And here is our boy on his two month b-day!

we can go from this
to this in a few seconds!
Well, if you have hung in this long....you are a trooper!
